I had the satisfaction of spending last week in Los Angeles at the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) convention. I was selected to present my research poster at the convention. I was also selected to be a part of the Minority Student Leadership Program (MSLP). 40 of us were selected to be part of the MSLP and we all spent the week together learning a lot of good information and networking with other professionals in the field. Our week was packed with a lot of work, completed in teams. I think we made it look easy though because none of us are strangers to hard work, and we all are born leaders.
Now for some camera talk……. I carried the Ricoh Grii with me on this trip. All of my digital cameras have been on trips and this is the first trip I have taken with the Ricoh. It was a joy to use. Its small size caused me to blend in and look like a tourist, making it simple to go out on the streets and take photos. I just started using the Ricoh so it hasn’t become part of my soul yet (like the Sony a6000), but have been enjoying it so far. This post has photos only related to the MSLP experience but I will be posting more of the LA photos on Instagram (Follow me @plushstylephoto).
